Resrecovery part one: the organic materials recovery study

Rethinking the ways in which wastewater is treated, so that it is no longer considered as waste, but as a resource to be valorized? Resrecovery, a study carried out by CEBEDEAU as part of Circular Wallonia, is the answer.

The first part focuses mainly on the recovery of organic matter contained in urban or industrial wastewater. Cellulose, PHA, Biodiesel and Biochar are among the possibilities identified on the basis of different scenarios taking into account criteria such as technological maturity, recovery/production costs, available deposits and potential market, necessary modifications to treatment processes and (non)competition with other types of recovery (notably energy).
